Celeb worlds have collided as Danny Dyer<\/a> and Pixie Lott<\/a> team up with Hollywood’s Eva Longoria<\/a>, Billy Porter<\/a> and Kunal Nayyar for the new A Christmas<\/a> Carol reboot – as first look pictures reveal the dazzling star-studded cast.<\/p>\n

Titled Christmas Karma, the upcoming festive spectacular is the brainchild of Gurinder Chadha, the acclaimed director behind Bend It Like Beckham and Blinded By The Light.<\/p>\n

The filmmaker has reimagined Charles Dickens’s 1843 classic as a Bollywood-inspired musical drama bursting with colour and comedy.<\/p>\n

At the heart of the story is The Big Bang Theory’s Kunal Nayyar, who takes on the role of modern-day Scrooge, Mr Sood.<\/p>\n

He is guided through his soul-searching journey by three Ghosts of Christmas, played by global icons Eva Longoria, Billy Porter and Boy George.<\/p>\n

The glittering line-up also features EastEnders<\/a> legend Danny Dyer, pop star Pixie Lott, Bridgerton<\/a>‘s Charithra Chandran<\/a>, Sanditon actor Leo Suter and much-loved screen star Hugh Bonneville<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In true Chadha style, Christmas Karma is a celebration of modern Britain’s diversity, with an energetic soundtrack blending gospel, bhangra, rap, Christmas carols and classic pop.<\/p>\n

The musicians are as renowned as the cast, with contributions from Take That’s Gary Barlow, Nitin Sawhney, All Saints’ Shaznay Lewis, Ben Cullum, Panjabi MC and Malkit Singh.<\/p>\n

Described as a ‘festive, fresh and feel-good’ reboot, the film promises to deliver big laughs, emotional moments and catchy numbers.<\/p>\n

Christmas Karma looks set to become a new holiday favourite, uniting Hollywood royalty, and British household names.<\/p>\n

It follows the reveal of Emily Atack and Danny Dyer’s new primetime ITV game show, but its premise is raising eyebrows.<\/p>\n

It was revealed earlier this year that the pair, who both starred in the Disney+ hit Rivals, will front a Saturday night game show called Nobody’s Fool.<\/p>\n

Bosses at the broadcaster brought in the pair in a bid to ‘freshen up their entertainment talent’, it was reported.<\/p>\n

The duo are reportedly set to receive a whopping \u00a3250,000 each for the gig, with the show expected to air next year.<\/p>\n

But similarities between Nobody’s Fool and Rivals are said to have raised eyebrows behind the scenes.<\/p>\n

A source told The Sun: ‘Rivals is the story of a web of rival individuals which is spun around a stately house, Penscombe Court, and their efforts to constantly outdo one another.<\/p>\n

‘That’s exactly the basis for the new gameshow, which also has the background of a country pile and sees all the competitors try to outwit one another.<\/p>\n

‘Those in the know are already describing it as: “A game of intellect and deception” which could be the catchline for one of Jilly’s novels.’<\/p>\n

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Danny and Emily for comment.<\/p>\n

Danny and Emily have been busy so far this year filming the second series of the smash-hit series, based on the racy books of Dame Jilly Cooper.<\/p>\n

Danny, who played pub landlord Mick Carter in EastEnders for almost a decade, is no stranger to game shows.<\/p>\n

The hardman previously hosted The Wall for the BBC, which ran for three series before ending in 2022 when Danny left EastEnders and the BBC.<\/p>\n

Mum-of-one Emily starred as a team captain on now-axed CelebJuice with Keith Lemon and Laura Whitmore.<\/p>\n
