{"id":263905,"date":"2026-01-02T19:32:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-02T19:32:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/263905\/"},"modified":"2026-01-02T19:32:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-02T19:32:09","slug":"alert-visitor-restrictions-because-of-very-contagious-virus-outbreak-at-kilkenny-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/263905\/","title":{"rendered":"Alert: Visitor restrictions because of &#8220;very contagious&#8221; virus outbreak at Kilkenny hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has been announced this afternoon (Friday) that St Luke\u2019s General <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kilkennypeople.ie\/section\/115\/news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Hospital<\/a> Carlow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kilkennypeople.ie\/section\/115\/news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Kilkenny<\/a> is battling an outbreak of a &#8220;very contagious&#8221; virus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kilkennypeople.ie\/section\/115\/news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">hospital<\/a> is\u00a0now\u00a0implementing visitor restrictions to reduce the spread of Norovirus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only one visitor per patient is permitted during visiting hours of\u00a06pm to 8pm,\u00a0unless otherwise authorised by the Ward Manager.
