Three children’s products sold through affordable marketplaces have been recalled<\/a> due to safety issues.<\/p>\n

The children’s toys were recalled in late December 2025 after Christmas<\/a> by The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC)<\/a>. These products have been recalled for various safety reasons including the risk of chemicals and failing to meet required safety warnings<\/p>\n

From slime with high migration levels of the chemical boron, to toys which do not meet the appropriate safety standards for sale in Ireland, there are a few alerts to look out for.<\/p>\n

Tototang Slime Shop \u2013 Honey Clear Slime sold on SHEIN marketplace<\/p>\n

A safety issue has been identified with Tototang Slime Shop \u2013 Honey Clear Slime sold by a third-party seller (Foshan Nanhai District Barbarian Bull Toys Firm) on SHEIN marketplace.<\/p>\n

There are approximately 226 affected products in the Republic of Ireland. The brand is TotoTang Slime Shop and the batch number is AM-TT-202508. The Product identifier is sh2308165335715559. The type\/model number is Tototang-25.<\/p>\n

The product presents a chemical risk, warns the CCPC. The migration of boron from the toy slime is too high.<\/p>\n

Ingestion or contact with an excessive quantity of boron may harm the health of children by damaging the reproductive system.<\/p>\n

If you purchased one of these products, please stop use immediately, discard the product, and keep it out of the reach of children. A safety issue has been identified with a Kids Crystal Growing STEM Science Kit \u2013 Creative, Educational Toy Ages 6+ sold on LivingSocial Europe Limited trading as Wowcher.ie.<\/p>\n

The toy does not bear the required CE marking and it has not been demonstrated to the CCPC that the toy has been tested to relevant safety standards, which may indicate that the product is unsafe.<\/p>\n

3 units of the product were sold by Wowcher to consumers in the Republic of Ireland. If you purchased this product, please discontinue use immediately and keep away from children. Wowcher will contact customers regarding the relevant safety issue and provide a full refund.<\/p>\n

\nLight up Yoyo toy sold on AliExpress<\/p>\n

The CCPC has safety concerns in relation to a Light up Yoyo toy sold on the AliExpress platform by the seller GZADXW Choice Store.<\/p>\n

The toy does not bear the required CE marking or required safety warnings, and it has not been demonstrated to the CCPC that it has been tested to the relevant safety standards, and for that reason it is being recalled.<\/p>\n

The item number is 011. There were approximately 2 units of the Light up Yoyo toy sold on the AliExpress platform to consumers in the Republic of Ireland.<\/p>\n

If you purchased one of these Light up Yoyo toys, please discontinue use immediately and keep it out of the reach of children.<\/p>\n
