{"id":266626,"date":"2026-01-04T10:44:07","date_gmt":"2026-01-04T10:44:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/266626\/"},"modified":"2026-01-04T10:44:07","modified_gmt":"2026-01-04T10:44:07","slug":"man-30s-dies-in-three-vehicle-collision-in-co-longford","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/266626\/","title":{"rendered":"Man (30s) dies in three-vehicle collision in Co Longford"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A<strong> man<\/strong> in his <strong>30s<\/strong> has been <strong>killed<\/strong> in a <strong>road collision<\/strong> in County <strong>Longford<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Garda\u00ed are appealing for information or dashcam footage on the crash which occurred on Saturday evening.<\/p>\n<p>The collision involved two cars and a van and occurred on the Longford Town side of the N4 after the Edgeworthstown Roundabout at around 7pm.<\/p>\n<p>The man who was killed was the driver of one of the cars.<\/p>\n<p>Another man, aged in his 30s, has been taken to hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be serious but non life-threatening.<\/p>\n<p>No other injuries have been reported at this time.<\/p>\n<p>The road was closed last night for examination by Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions were in place.<\/p>\n<p>Garda\u00ed are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.<\/p>\n<p>Any road users, who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 6:30pm and 7:15pm this evening are asked to make this footage available to investigating garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information is asked to contact Granard Garda Station on 043 6687 660, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A man in his 30s has been killed in a road collision in County Longford.
