The <strong>Profile<\/strong> and <strong>Avatar<\/strong> options lead to options such as your display name and picture on Reddit, the social links you have displayed on your profile, and how you want Reddit to notify you about activity on the platform.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Switch to the <strong>Privacy<\/strong> tab on the settings screen and you get some control over how visible your profile is. You have options to hide your profile from searches, to choose whether or not people can follow your activity on Reddit, and to control who can send you chat requests. You can, if you want, turn off chat requests altogether.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">To get to the new settings Reddit has just added, click <strong>Update<\/strong> next to <strong>Curate your profile<\/strong> on your actual profile page, or if you&#8217;re already on the main settings screen then open the <strong>Profile<\/strong> tab and scroll down to <strong>Curate your profile<\/strong>. Note that these options only affect what&#8217;s visible on your profile\u2014they don&#8217;t affect posts and comments themselves.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">You can get to these same settings through the official Reddit app for <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.reddit.frontpage\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Android<\/a> or <a data-offer-url=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/reddit\/id1064216828\" class=\"external-link\" data-event-click=\"{&quot;element&quot;:&quot;ExternalLink&quot;,&quot;outgoingURL&quot;:&quot;https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/reddit\/id1064216828&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/reddit\/id1064216828\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iOS<\/a> too.
