The actress is currently a navigating a career pivot toward directing with her debut movie The Chronology of Water, in theaters now<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Kristen Stewart<\/a> is happy to throw her name in the ring to direct a Twilight<\/a> remake.<\/p>\n Stewart, 35, was open to the idea that she should re-adapt the mega-popular vampire romance film series when she spoke with Entertainment Tonight<\/a> at Variety\u2018s 10 Directors to Watch and Creative Impact Awards in Palm Springs, Calif. on Sunday, Jan. 4. Stewart was named to that list of 10 up-and-coming directors after she released her directorial debut, The Chronology of Water<\/a>, in 2025.<\/p>\n \u201cI would love \u2014 look. I love what Catherine [Hardwicke] <\/a>did, I love what Chris [Weitz] did, I love what all of the directors did with the movies,” she said, when ET’s reporter suggested that she remake the movies.<\/p>\n “They were so themselves and weird and kind of like, squirrelly, and just so present in that time when they didn\u2019t really know what they were yet, like before they blew up,” Stewart said of the franchise. “Imagine if we had a huge budget and a bunch of love and support. I don\u2019t know \u2014 I would love to readapt. Yeah, sure, I\u2019ll do the remake. I\u2019m doing it! She costarred with Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Anna Kendrick, Peter Facinelli, Kellan Lutz, Elizabeth Reaser, Ashley Greene and more\u00a0across the movies, which were adapted from author Stephanie Meyer’s novels of the same name.<\/p>\n Three of the five movies had different directors: Catherine Hardwicke directed the original, while Chris Weitz and David Slade directed New Moon and Eclipse, respectively.
