{"id":269711,"date":"2026-01-06T05:24:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-06T05:24:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/269711\/"},"modified":"2026-01-06T05:24:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T05:24:10","slug":"limerick-homeless-woman-appears-to-view-prison-as-a-holiday-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/269711\/","title":{"rendered":"Limerick homeless woman &#8216;appears to view prison as a holiday home&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A HOMELESS woman who \u201cenjoys prison\u201d has been charged with breaching a barring order and criminal damage, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.limerickleader.ie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Limerick<\/a> District Court heard.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The woman &#8211; who cannot be named to protect the identity of her family who took out a barring order against her &#8211; \u201cappears to view prison as a holiday home\u201d, according to Judge Patricia Harney.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The woman\u2019s probation report put forward that \u201cshe liked prison life and appears to enjoy mixing with her fellow inmates\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The probation report also detailed that the woman said she wouldn\u2019t be in a position to attend probation appointments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ MORE:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.limerickleader.ie\/news\/crime-and-courts\/1979543\/limerick-childrens-court-judge-congratulates-a-young-new-father-15-years-of-age.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Limerick Children\u2019s court judge congratulates a young new father, 15 years of age<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Judge Harney stated: \u201cI\u2019m not buying this business that she\u2019s not attending probation and welfare services\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The judge added: \u201cI need her to understand these are court orders.
