{"id":269845,"date":"2026-01-06T07:10:11","date_gmt":"2026-01-06T07:10:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/269845\/"},"modified":"2026-01-06T07:10:11","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T07:10:11","slug":"two-people-lost-their-lives-in-workplace-incidents-in-kerry-in-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/269845\/","title":{"rendered":"Two people lost their lives in workplace incidents in Kerry in 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two people lost their lives in workplace incidents in Kerry in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s according to figures from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsa.ie\/eng\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Health and Safety Authority<\/a>, which show nationally, there were 58 work-related fatalities last year.<\/p>\n<p>The agriculture sector accounted for almost 40% of deaths nationwide (23), while deaths in the construction industry doubled \u2013 to 10.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, 33% (19) of those who lost their lives were aged 65 or over.<\/p>\n<p>CEO of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiokerry.ie\/news\/health-and-safety-authority\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">HSA<\/a>, Mark Cullen, says one group who face significant risks at work are the self-employed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Two people lost their lives in workplace incidents in Kerry in 2025.
