For months, fans have watched as Becky Swain went to extreme lengths to worm her way back in to ex-wife Lisa’s heart, going so far as to kidnap Carla Connor on Coronation Street<\/p>\n

Coronation Street fans, rejoice – Becky Swain’s end is here. In an epic twist involving Becky’s ex Lisa, the dastardly villain is finally paying for her crimes during Corriedale, it seems.<\/p>\n

Since she returned from the dead over the summer, Becky (Amy Cudden) has been hell bent on getting back together with her ex wife, despite Lisa’s new relationship with Carla Connor (Alison King). And Becky would stop at nothing in her mission to win Lisa (Vicky Myers) back – even if that meant holding Carla captive in a cupboard.<\/p>\n

Becky had so far been successful in convincing Lisa that she was a good person and driving a wedge between the pair. But in an epic twist, Lisa was the one who ultimately took Becky down.<\/p>\n

After feeling the cops draw in on her, Becky fled Weatherfield, taking Lisa and their daughter Betsy with her. Whilst in the car, Lisa discovered what Becky has been up to and an argument began, causing Becky to crash her car into another. Carla, who was hot on their heels, was able to get Betsy and Becky out of the car, but Lisa was stuck.<\/p>\n

After everyone at the crash came together to move the car Lisa is stuck in away from the flames coming from a minivan, paramedics were able to get the copper into an ambulance.<\/p>\n

Becky tried to flee again but Carla stopped her. The villain was determined to leave until Lisa called out for her. Becky insisted she’s got to go, but Lisa asked for a goodbye, seemingly sad to see her leave.<\/p>\n

Becky leaned over Lisa and tried to kiss her, telling her she loves her. But as she did so, Lisa snapped handcuffs around her wrist and said: “Becky Swain, I am arresting you for theft, GBH…” Carla chimed in as she hugged Betsy with: “And kidnapping!”<\/p>\n

“And kidnapping,” finished Lisa. The Corriedale crossover comes as cast members teased far-reaching consequences for the soaps going forward after Corriedale.<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror<\/a>, Shona Platt actress Julia Goulding<\/a> teased how the big event will impact Shona and her husband David Platt.<\/p>\n

Julia told us: “Imagine David and Shona and their life is a ball of wool. Imagine what would happen if a cat got hold of it, it would unravel.” Sally Carman-Duttine added: “There’s a possibility lives will be forever changed. There was a lot of frantic energy. We were all on a night shoot.”<\/p>\n

As for Theo Silverton actor James Cartwright, he promised both soaps would never be the same. He told us: “There’s moments that will have real far-reaching consequences.<\/p>\n

“It will change soap land forever. Soap land will never be the same again because of it. It’s like a meteor coming to Earth. You can take cover but it’s landing!”<\/p>\n
