Jimmy Kimmel proved once and for all how easy it was for President Donald Trump to pass the cognitive exam<\/a> he took at Walter Reed Medical Center. <\/p>\n

In his Monday night monologue, Kimmel showed a Truth Social post from Trump bragging about having aced his \u201cCognitive Examination, which no other President, or previous Vice President, was willing to take.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cIn the interest of fairness, and also to get a sense of what he keeps babbling about, we got in touch with a doctor who gives this test regularly, these cognitive exams,\u201d Kimmel explained. \u201cAnd I asked her to administer one to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel explained, \u201cThis is the official exam administered by a medical professional. I did not see the questions ahead of time. And I\u2019m willing to release the full unedited version if necessary.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWith that said, let\u2019s find out just how difficult this big, beautiful test is,\u201d Kimmel said, \u201cand how my brain stacks up against our stable genius president\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel played a 4-minute clip of himself taking the real cognitive exam that Trump had described<\/a> as \u201cnot easy.\u201d <\/p>\n

The test had Kimmel connect some dots, name some words that start with \u201cf,\u201d and correctly identify basic drawings of a lion, a rhino, and a camel.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just saw Zootopia, so I know all the answers,” Kimmel jokingly bragged upon acing the animal section.<\/p>\n

The medical professional tallied up Kimmel\u2019s points and told him he got a \u201cperfect score.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel replied, \u201cSo I can be president.\u201d<\/p>\n

The segment comes after months of Kimmel trolling Trump over his cognitive bragging. Kimmel has repeatedly argued that passing a test designed<\/a> to detect cognitive impairment is a low bar for a president to clear.<\/p>\n

In October 2025, Kimmel defended<\/a> Democratic representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jasmine Crockett when Trump claimed they wouldn\u2019t be able to pass the test themselves.<\/p>\n

Kimmel invited Crockett to a video interview on his show and jokingly quizzed her with a few questions from the test. When Crockett correctly identified a drawing of an elephant, Kimmel joked, \u201cWow, you\u2019re gonna crush this.\u201d<\/p>\n

On various occasions since first running for office in 2016, he\u2019s dubbed himself \u201ca very stable genius<\/a>\u201d who\u2019s \u201cby far stabler and more geniuser than any of them,\u201d as well as \u201clike, really smart.\u201d<\/p>\n

He\u2019s equally torn into his detractors for being \u201cdumb as a rock<\/a>\u201d and questioned<\/a> his political opponents\u2019 IQ. <\/p>\n

While these terms of political engagement may have proven a boon to him running against Joe Biden at a time when the Democratic president\u2019s mental decline was only too painfully on display, the MAGA leader\u2019s fixation with cognitive aptitude and agility has increasingly come back to haunt him since assuming office for the second time last January. <\/p>\n

The months since have witnessed a seemingly endless and ever more frequent series of highly public flubs<\/a>, which have included confusing the names of countries<\/a>, opponents and foreign leaders, as well as an increased incidence of repetitive speech and memory lapses. <\/p>\n

Clinical psychologists have previously shared with the Daily Beast<\/a> how these and other gaffes may very well represent \u201cclinical signs of dementia,\u201d which have in turn exacerbated what\u2019s perceived as an underlying malignant personality disorder. <\/p>\n
