{"id":270348,"date":"2026-01-06T13:43:13","date_gmt":"2026-01-06T13:43:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/270348\/"},"modified":"2026-01-06T13:43:13","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T13:43:13","slug":"reardens-all-stars-a-huge-success-for-players-and-their-families","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/270348\/","title":{"rendered":"Reardens All-Stars a huge success for players and their families"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\">The Reardens All-Stars awards night marked its 15th staging on Sunday, January 4, once again bringing together the standout performers from ladies\u2019 football, camogie, hurling and football across the club season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Long established as one of the key fixtures in the Cork club GAA calendar, the occasion offered a fitting full stop to another long year, recognising excellence across both codes and delivering an enjoyable evening for players, families and clubs alike.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Sisters Meabh, Grainne and Orlaith Cahalane made up three of St Finbarr\u2019s 10 camogie All-Star recipients, following a stellar campaign that only concluded the day before the ceremony, with heartbreak in an All-Ireland final replay defeat to Athenry.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/4920008_4_articleinlinemobile_EOHReardens05.jpg\" alt=\"The Reardens all Star camogie team of the year with Maurice O'Leary general manager and Cian Neison, assistant general manager. Picture; Eddie O&#8217;Hare<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Meabh and Orlaith Cahalane, however, doubled up on the night, the only players to do so across the codes. In addition to their camogie recognition with the Barrs, both collected ladies football All-Stars for their role with \u00c9ire \u00d3g, as the Ovens club captured the county title, overcoming Aghada after a replay to avenge last season\u2019s defeat.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Aghada and \u00c9ire \u00d3g combined for 10 of the 15 ladies football winners, while St Val\u2019s, Mourneabbey and Glanmire also had representation on the evening.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/4920011_4_articleinlinemobile_EOHReardens04.jpg\" alt=\"The Reardens all Star Premier senior football team of the year with Maurice O'Leary general manager and Cian Neison, assistant general manager. Picture; Eddie O&#8217;Hare<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">In hurling, Conor Lehane stood alone in achieving back-to-back Reardens All-Star honours in 2025, the Midleton forward collecting his third award since 2021. He was joined by clubmates Mikey Finn, a first-time recipient, and Eoin Moloney, who claimed his second.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">County champions Sarsfields had six winners on the night, Ben Graham, Conor O\u2019Sullivan, Bryan Murphy, Cian Darcy, Jack O\u2019Connor and James Sweeney, while Jack Callaghan\u2019s inclusion gave Charleville their third All-Star award in as many years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">St Finbarr\u2019s, football county champions, matched Sarsfields\u2019 tally of six \u2013 with a blend of debut and repeat winners \u2013 as goalkeeper Darragh Newman picked up his first, while Steven Sherlock was there to receive a fifth consecutive Reardens All-Star on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/4920014_4_articleinlinemobile_EOHReardens03.jpg\" alt=\"The Reardens all Star ladies football team of the year with Maurice O'Leary general manager and Cian Neison, assistant general manager.
