\n\tLong before the new year, Christopher Nolan\u2019s The Odyssey<\/a> had already emerged as one of the most anticipated movies<\/a> of 2026. A new trailer, which dropped Dec. 22 and has since been viewed 37 million times, only fueled the fire as fans flocked to see the first extended look at the mythic action epic toplined by Matt Damon as Odysseus.<\/p>\n

\n\tWith a trailer<\/a>, new stills and Nolan\u2019s first interview <\/a>about the film out in the universe, some of his stars are more open to answering questions about the secretive project. That includes Mia Goth<\/a>, who plays Melantho in a star-studded cast that also includes Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Lupita Nyong\u2019o, Jon Bernthal, Benny Safdie, James Remar, Elliot Page, John Leguizamo, Himesh Patel and more.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Hollywood Reporter caught up with Goth on the red carpet Saturday at the Palm Springs International Film Awards, where she joined her Frankenstein<\/a> family to pick up another trophy for their work in Guillermo del Toro\u2019s epic. Though she wasn\u2019t ready to reveal The Odyssey\u2019s plot details, she was keen to discuss how the experienced changed her for good.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThat was one of the greatest experiences of my life. It really was. It was profound,\u201d Goth explained. \u201cI\u2019ve been such a fan of his work for years. And so to have that opportunity and to witness him and how he directs was incredible. I took a lot from that. The trust that he has in actors was enlightening.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAnd the actors seemed to return the favor. In a previous interview, Remar told THR, \u201cIt\u2019s a very respectful, well-assembled cast. No silliness to speak of. Everyone was focused on the task at hand, because he comes with a vision and every brush stroke of his vision is important. There are no hijinks. No fooling around. Nobody\u2019s asleep. Nobody\u2019s drunk. Nobody\u2019s fucked up, pardon my language. Everyone was very, very concentrated on being the absolute best they could be.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAs for Goth, in addition to awards season obligations for Frankenstein and a summer release of The Odyssey, her future includes a 2027 debut as one of the stars of Shawn Levy<\/a>\u2019s Star Wars: Starfighter<\/a> opposite Ryan Gosling<\/a> and Amy Adams. She was more tight-lipped about that film, however. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI really can\u2019t talk much about that at the moment, but I had the most incredible time and I absolutely adore Shawn Levy. I think he\u2019s electric and he\u2019s got such an energy to him. Working with him was some of the most fun I\u2019ve had.\u201d<\/p>\n
