A man has been stunned to learn a family secret after his wife caught him “cheating”. The 25-year-old revealed he spent his earliest years bouncing through foster care before finding a forever home with an adoptive family when he was about five.<\/a><\/p>\n Describing his upbringing as “completely normal”, he credits his parents with giving him everything, embracing him wholeheartedly into their lives. Taking to Reddit, he shared: “I spent the first four years of my life in the care system. Luckily, I have very few memories of this time and there’s been no lasting trauma.<\/p>\n “At the age of four, I was taken in by the Roberts – a husband and wife who would take presents to the children’s home every Christmas (something they still do). By the time I was five, they had officially adopted me.”<\/p>\n Continuing his story, he explained: “From here on, they’ll be referred to as Mam, 60, and Dad, 60. I experienced a completely normal, upper-middle-class upbringing. I grew up in Cardiff. Mam owned a chain of salons around South Wales, and Dad wore a suit to work every day.<\/p>\n “I was blessed with two wonderful older sisters, Claire, 42, and Sally, 40, who completely doted on me.”<\/p>\n During his teenage years, he became heavily involved with a local boxing gym and even flirted with the idea of turning pro, though his father steered him towards higher education.<\/p>\n It was at this very gym where he fell head over heels for Chloe, the coach’s daughter – the woman who would eventually become his wife. He continued: “Chloe and I were at the gym. I would’ve been about 15 at the time, and she’d had enough of my wind-ups and demanded we get in the ring.<\/p>\n “I agreed, saying I’d keep my hands behind my back, and if she could land a punch within a minute I’d stop teasing her. If she couldn’t, she’d let me take her out.<\/p>\n “Well, I danced around for 60 seconds without her laying a hand on me. Just as the timer rang to signal the minute was up, she landed a right hook that Mike Tyson would’ve been proud of.<\/p>\n “Nose bleeding and pride hurt, I got to my feet. She approached, wiped the blood away, then kissed me softly on the lips.<\/p>\n
