A day after Ashley Tisdale French addressed rumors<\/a> about the subjects of her \u201ctoxic mom group\u201d essay, Hilary Duff\u2019s husband<\/a> has entered the chat. On Jan. 6, Matthew Koma<\/a> appeared to react to the viral essay, sharing a photo that seemingly criticized French<\/a> on his Instagram Story.<\/p>\n

In a since-deleted Story, Koma posted an edited version of an image that accompanied French\u2019s essay<\/a> for The Cut, photoshopping himself into the picture. He added the fictional headline, \u201cWhen You’re The Most Self Obsessed Tone Deaf Person On Earth, Other Moms Tend To Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers,\u201d along with the sub-headline, “A Mom Group Tell All Through A Father’s Eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cRead my new interview with @thecut,\u201d he captioned the post, tagging the outlet directly and also adding their logo to the image. <\/p>\n

What Was In The Essay?<\/p>\n

French wrote about her experience with a former group of friends, saying she thought she found her \u201cvillage\u201d of new moms who were career-driven like herself, but eventually felt excluded from group hangouts. She thought the friends \u201chad a pattern of leaving someone out,\u201d and when it had \u201cbecome me,\u201d she decided to leave the group and told them it had become \u201ctoo high school.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be clear, I have never considered the moms to be bad people. (Maybe one.),\u201d she wrote. \u201cBut I do think our group dynamic stopped being healthy and positive \u2014 for me, anyway.\u201d Although she asked readers not to speculate about who she was referring to, warning \u201cwhatever you think is true isn\u2019t even close,\u201d this didn\u2019t stop fans from investigating. <\/p>\n

French had been featured in previous Instagram posts with a group of fellow famous moms that included Duff, Mandy Moore, and Meghan Trainor \u2014\u00a0but fans noticed that she didn\u2019t follow Duff or Moore on Instagram. However, Tisdale\u2019s rep told TMZ<\/a> that there\u2019s \u201czero truth\u201d to the online rumors and denied that the essay was in reference to Duff, Moore, or Trainor. <\/p>\n

How Did Ashley Respond?<\/p>\n

French has yet to respond publicly to Koma\u2019s post. However, her husband Christopher\u2019s aptly-timed Instagram Stories have not gone unnoticed by fans. On Jan. 6, he reposted a photo<\/a> that read, \u201cIt\u2019s your choice whether or not to engage.\u201d The next day, he shared a quote<\/a> from author Cory Allen, \u201cUnderrated life skill: Pausing to decide if it\u2019s worth your energy.\u201d<\/p>\n
