Midleton<\/a> community. He is dearly missed by his wife Patricia, children Kate, Clare, Gregg and Olann, grandchildren Hannah, Eliza, Ois\u00edn, B\u00e9ibhinn and Ronan, son-in-law Pat Fox, daughter-in-law Frieda Cummins, sisters & brother Margaret, Paul & Eileen and his wider family and friends. Many have paid tribute to Fin\u00edn since his passing, remembering him as a “wonderful friend” and for the lasting impression he left on Midleton. One person wrote: “My heartfelt sympathy Patricia on your sad loss of Fin\u00edn, and to Kate, Clare, Gregg & Olann on the sad loss of your Dad & Fin\u00edns extended family. I have lovely memories of Fin\u00edns since the day he opened right through the years, the food no matter what we’d have was always superb. I met him several times in recent months strolling towards Ballyannon Woods\/Balick walk. May Fin\u00edn’s gentle soul rest in peace. Thinking of you all at this very sad difficult time.”<\/p>\n
Another said: “Our deepest sympathies to Patricia and family. Finin gave Midleton town a very high-end restaurant for over 40 years with such style, we thank him so much for that, we had many enjoyable lunches \/ dinners in his restaurant. So sad to see him go. Rip Finin.”<\/p>\n
A third wrote: “Patricia, Clare, Kate & the entire O’Sullivan family…..I was so very saddened to hear of Fin\u00edn’s passing. A complete gentleman in everyway & always had time for the chat! He was so colourful, both in style & personality & was the beating heart of business in Midleton town. I will miss him whizzing on his bicycle down the Main Street….& his cheery “hello” as he went, so happy & carefree. It was an honour to know him. Sending you all love & hugs at this incredibly difficult time. May Fin\u00edn’s gentle soul rest in peace.”<\/p>\n
At Fin\u00edn’s request, a quiet family funeral and cremation for him have already taken place. His family have sincerely thanked the teams at Midleton Main Street Medical Practice, Marymount Hospice, the Irish Cancer Society, friends and all who supported Fin\u00edn during his illness.<\/p>\n
