Elvis Presley<\/strong> would have been 91 years old on Thursday, January 8, and his ex-wife Priscilla<\/strong> marked the date with a heartfelt Instagram<\/a> post.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s hard to believe you would be 91 today \u2014 surely just as handsome as ever,\u201d the Dallas alum, 80, wrote over a shot of them kissing.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one could ever truly understand the depth of what we shared. Our love never faded, even through the difficult times,\u201d added Priscilla, who scored the post with Bread\u2019s 1970 hit, \u201cMake It With You.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEach year, I celebrate your birthday quietly in my heart, knowing you are surrounded by the family you loved so deeply,\u201d she concluded. \u201cHappy Birthday, Elvis.\u201d<\/p>\n

Priscilla met the King of Rock \u2018n\u2019 Roll when she was just 14 years old and wed him in Las Vegas in 1967. They welcomed daughter Lisa Marie<\/strong> in 1968 and divorced in 1973 amid affairs<\/a> on both sides.<\/p>\n

In her 2025 memoir<\/a>, Softly As I Leave You, Priscilla described how they held hands in court while finalizing their split. \u201cI listened to the judge pronounce us divorced and then walked out into the sunshine, still holding hands with the man I loved. Who, I had no doubt, still loved me,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven though we divorced, Elvis and I remained together spiritually until he died\u201d in 1977, she wrote, adding that on one of the times they met after their marriage was over, he sang Dolly Parton<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cI Will Always Love You\u201d to her.<\/p>\n
