\n\tRed Wing<\/a> Heritage is kicking off 2026 with a new collaboration<\/a> with Japanese lifestyle and apparel brand Human Made.<\/p>\n

\n\tGuided by the shared philosophy \u201cThe Future Is in the Past,\u201d the collaboration<\/a> pairs Red Wing<\/a>\u2019s heritage of American workwear with Human Made\u2019s contemporary cultural lens. The result is a capsule of two footwear silhouettes and three apparel pieces.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe new footwear styles include the 8\u201d Classic Moc, a hybrid silhouette merging Red Wing\u2019s signature<\/a> #877 and #875 Classic Mocs. The style features a medial zipper, Human Made emboss, and two Taslan lace options. The second is the Pecos, a reinterpretation of the classic white wedge Traction Tred outsole featuring a heel zipper and Human Made emboss.<\/p>\n

\n\tBoth silhouettes utilize Hawthorne Abilene leather, rooted in Red Wing\u2019s Japan story and long regarded as one of the brand\u2019s most culturally resonant materials. The color became a defining element of Red Wing\u2019s earliest lifestyle collections introduced to Japan, and it surged in popularity among young men through the late \u201980s and early \u201990s.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs for the apparel range, the capsule includes a varsity jacket, sweatshirt and T-shirt.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis collaboration allowed us to reimagine some of our most iconic silhouettes through a new lens while staying true to what makes them timeless,\u201d Amy Peck<\/a>, director of product creation at Red Wing Heritage, said in a statement. \u201cAdding a zipper \u2013 something we haven\u2019t done in decades \u2013 brought both function and a fresh attitude to the 8\u201d Classic Moc and Pecos. Using our Hawthorne Abilene leather honors Red Wing\u2019s heritage while making these pieces feel truly distinct.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFor Nigo<\/a>, who created Human Made<\/a>, his relationship with Red Wing began in high school when he purchased his first pair of beige Irish Setters \u2013 a moment that sparked a lifelong connection to the brand. For decades, Red Wing boots have naturally complemented Human Made\u2019s Americana-inspired wardrobe, a synergy he acknowledges directly: \u201cI think they\u2019re the perfect shoes to pair with Human Made\u2019s Americana-inspired clothing,\u201d the designer said. \u201cThey complete the look.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThis personal history informed the collaboration\u2019s creative direction. Rather than reinventing Red Wing\u2019s classics, the teams focused on elevating them through Human Made\u2019s point of view.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe limited-edition collection, which retails between $74.99 and $450, is now available exclusively through Human Made, with Red Wing\u2019s global release to follow on Jan. 10 and U.S. availability starting Jan. 12.<\/p>\n
