{"id":276227,"date":"2026-01-09T16:56:07","date_gmt":"2026-01-09T16:56:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/276227\/"},"modified":"2026-01-09T16:56:07","modified_gmt":"2026-01-09T16:56:07","slug":"tributes-paid-to-well-known-businesswoman-kathleen-fitzgerald-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/276227\/","title":{"rendered":"Tributes paid to well-known businesswoman Kathleen Fitzgerald &#8211; News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\">Waterford is mourning the loss of highly respected businesswoman Kathleen Fitzgerald.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Kathleen was a director of Georges Court Shopping Centre in the city centre, along with a number of other business interests.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">She served as a Director of Waterford Chamber from 2000 to 2014 and served with distinction as President of Waterford Chamber from 2006 to 2007.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">In 2011, she made history as the first female president of Waterford Rotary Club.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Paying tribute today, CEO of Waterford Chamber Gerald Hurley, said that Kathleen \u201cmade an outstanding contribution to the business community in Waterford.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cKathleen will be fondly remembered for her professionalism, generosity, and lasting impact on Waterford\u2019s business and civic life. Our thoughts are with Kathleen\u2019s family at this difficult time.
