Black Panther<\/a> originally had a different costume in the fourth trailer for Avengers: Doomsday<\/a><\/strong>, according to a recent report.<\/p>\n

Marvel Studios<\/a>\u2019 Avengers: Doomsday is currently in post-production. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers, the movie will be released in United States theaters later this year. The sequel, titled Avengers: Secret Wars<\/a>, is dated for 2027.<\/p>\n

Marvel<\/a> has been releasing teaser trailers for Avengers: Doomsday over the past couple of weeks. The first teaser revealed that Chris Evans\u2019 Steve Rogers will be returning to the MCU<\/a>, while the second focused on Chris Hemsworth\u2019s Thor and the third on a handful of X-Men characters.<\/p>\n

Now, the fourth Avengers: Doomsday teaser trailer is playing in front of Avatar: Fire and Ash, though it also leaked online earlier this week. The latest teaser mainly focuses on Letitia Wright<\/a>\u2019s Shuri\/Black Panther, though characters like Tenoch Huerta Mej\u00eda\u2019s Namor, Winston Duke\u2019s M\u2019Baku, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach\u2019s Ben Grimm\/The Thing can also been seen in the footage.<\/p>\n

What costume did Black Panther originally have in\u00a0 Avengers: Doomsday\u2019s fourth trailer?<\/p>\n

In the latest Avengers: Doomsday trailer, Black Panther is seen wearing a new, somewhat blue costume. According to scooper James Mack<\/a>, however, this wasn\u2019t originally the plan.<\/p>\n

Mack wrote, \u201cThat blue on Shuri\u2019s suit, in several concept arts I\u2019ve seen, it was purple! It\u2019s a shame they didn\u2019t use it.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is just a rumor at this time, and it should be treated as such, as no Avengers: Doomsday concept art has been unveiled to the public as of yet. It\u2019s also unclear if there\u2019s a specific reason why Black Panther\u2019s costume is changing in Avengers: Doomsday, as it remains to be seen if the MCU movie will address this head-on.<\/p>\n

Avengers: Doomsday finally arrives on December 18, 2026.
