{"id":276772,"date":"2026-01-09T23:45:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-09T23:45:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/276772\/"},"modified":"2026-01-09T23:45:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-09T23:45:09","slug":"tom-cruise-helped-film-new-star-wars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/276772\/","title":{"rendered":"Tom Cruise Helped Film New &#8220;Star Wars&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/tom-cruise-helped-film-new-star-wars.jpg\" data-caption=\"Paramount Pictures\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/tom-cruise-helped-film-new-star-wars.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"tom-cruise-helped-film-new-star-wars\"\/><\/a>Paramount Pictures<\/p>\n<p>The upcoming \u201cStar Wars: Starfighter\u201d will feature at least one or two shots filmed by none other than Tom Cruise.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDeadpool &amp; Wolverine\u201d filmmaker Shawn Levy spoke with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2026\/01\/08\/movies\/shawn-levy-star-wars-stranger-things.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The New York Times<\/a> recently and revealed that Tom Cruise showed up on the film\u2019s set (via helicopter) in November.<\/p>\n<p>Cruise was just there to watch as they were setting up a scene involving a lightsaber duel in the water.  Levy suggested Cruise jump on one of the cameras as a joke, but Cruise took it seriously and was soon wading ankle deep into a muddy pond with the camera and \u201cruining his very nice shoes\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Levy says: \u201cNow when you see the movie you\u2019ll know that part of it was shot by Tom. I mean, how cool is that?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Filming on the project wrapped in December.
