Nicole Kidman<\/strong> \u201cplayed her cards perfectly\u201d in her custody negotiations with ex-husband, Keith Urban<\/strong>, Rob Shuter<\/strong> reported in his Naughty But Nice Substack<\/a> on Friday, January 9.<\/p>\n

The country singer<\/a>, 58,\u00a0 \u201cinitially wanted equal time,\u201d an insider told Shuter, but has \u201ca lot of secrets.\u201d<\/p>\n

And the Big Little Lies star, 58, used that to her advantage, another source claimed: \u201cThe real reason Nicole got the majority of custody is because she knows everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Per the agreement, the Oscar winner\u2019s daughters Sunday<\/strong>, 17, and Faith<\/strong>, 15, will be with her<\/a> for 306 days per year, and with the country star, 58, for the other 59, according to People<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kidman was allegedly \u201canxious\u201d and pushed hard for custody, the Daily Mail<\/a> reported on Thursday, January 8, because of her experience in her divorce from Tom Cruise<\/strong> in 2001, when she agreed to joint custody of their adopted children Isabella<\/strong>, now 33, and Connor<\/strong>, 30. The outlet also noted that Urban\u2019s touring schedule was a contributing factor.<\/p>\n

It also helps that their daughters are \u201cTeam Mom<\/a> all the way,\u201d a friend told Shuter, adding that Urban \u201cknows Nicole has the kids\u2019 best interests at heart.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone close to them knows the girls are happiest this way,\u201d another insider revealed, and in exchange, \u201cNicole will keep her mouth shut.\u201d<\/p>\n
