Dublin Airport has rolled out a new airport update that will make the airport experience more comfortable overall for passengers<\/a>.<\/p>\n Getting to your gate after security can often feel like quite a long walk. For some people, a rest may be required on the way to the gates.<\/p>\n Thanks to passenger feedback, Dublin Airport <\/a>has installed a new set of benches in Terminal 1.<\/a> Posting to social media, they shared the passenger Instagram comment that inspired the change.<\/p>\n “We\u2019re always listening to passengers regarding how we can make the airport better for them,” Dublin Airport<\/a> said via X. “And sometimes it\u2019s a small and simple thing.”<\/p>\n “Like these new seats we\u2019ve located on the walkway to the 100 gates in Terminal 1. Providing a welcome resting spot for those who need it.”<\/p>\n Alongside the photo of the new T1 benches, they shared a comment from a passenger that delivered the feedback that led to the change. It read: “What about on that long walk down to the Ryanair gates? Very few [benches] if any along there.”<\/p>\n Dublin Airport via X(Image: )<\/p>\n In the comments section of the X post, they confirmed that more charging stations are also planned for the airport, as well as new retail outlets being opened later this year.<\/p>\n The confirmed that the Terminal 1 lounge will reopen in March or April. Unfortunately, the price of pints at the airport is not likely to see a decline. One commenter asked “How about listening to this – \u20ac4 pints.”<\/p>\n Dublin<\/a> Airport’s X account replied: “It\u2019s not 2001 anymore unfortunately.”<\/p>\n Last year, Dublin Airport invested in a number of upgrades to the passenger experience. These included new seating, upgraded hydration stations, better directional signage for exiting the airport via public transport,<\/a> updating their facades and more.<\/p>\n New flight information display screens that are easier to see have been installed. Dublin Airport <\/a>says that the brighter screens make it “easier for passengers to see their flight info.\u201d<\/p>\n Smart bins have been introduced in both terminals to allow for better waste management.
