{"id":278657,"date":"2026-01-11T02:35:08","date_gmt":"2026-01-11T02:35:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/278657\/"},"modified":"2026-01-11T02:35:08","modified_gmt":"2026-01-11T02:35:08","slug":"man-40s-dead-after-two-car-collision-in-kerry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/278657\/","title":{"rendered":"Man, 40s, dead after two car collision in Kerry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man in his 40s has died after two cars collided in Kerry.<\/p>\n<p>The collision took place on the N22 at around 6.40pm on Saturday evening.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Garda\u00ed have appealed for any witnesses to the collision near Dromadesesirt to come forward.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">One of the drivers, a male aged in his 40s, was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency services.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">His body has been removed to the local mortuary where a post-mortem will take place in due course.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The other driver, a male aged in his 30s, was conveyed to University Hospital Kerry for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening at this time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"> No other injuries were reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"> The road is currently closed for examination by garda forensics, with local diversions in place.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Garda\u00ed are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">A spokesperson said: &#8220;Any road users, who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N22 near Dromadeesirt between 6:20pm and 6:50pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&#8220;Anyone with information is asked to contact Killarney Garda Station on 064 6671160, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A man in his 40s has died after two cars collided in Kerry.
