A man in his 40s has died after two cars collided in Kerry.<\/p>\n
The collision took place on the N22 at around 6.40pm on Saturday evening.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed have appealed for any witnesses to the collision near Dromadesesirt to come forward.<\/p>\n
One of the drivers, a male aged in his 40s, was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency services.\u00a0<\/p>\n
His body has been removed to the local mortuary where a post-mortem will take place in due course.<\/p>\n
The other driver, a male aged in his 30s, was conveyed to University Hospital Kerry for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening at this time.<\/p>\n
No other injuries were reported.<\/p>\n
The road is currently closed for examination by garda forensics, with local diversions in place.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson said: “Any road users, who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N22 near Dromadeesirt between 6:20pm and 6:50pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n
