\n\tAriana Grande<\/a> is clarifying her comments about when she might release new music.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a Variety interview<\/a> published Friday (Jan. 9), the pop star and actress spoke about the Wicked film franchise, her upcoming Eternal Sunshine Tour, and the possibility of new music.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cNo \u2014 definitely not. Nothing is coming before May,\u201d Grande said when asked about new music. She added, speaking directly to her fans, \u201cI love them so much, but sometimes I want to ask, \u2018Do you think there\u2019s another version of me out there who had time to write an album?\u2019 Not yet \u2014 but soon enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGrande\u2019s seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, arrived in March 2024 and spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. She later released a deluxe version of the album, and will embark on a tour<\/a> this year in support of the project.<\/p>\n

\n\tSince then, the \u201c7 Rings\u201d singer has been focusing on her role as Glinda in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked and its recent sequel, Wicked: For Good. She is nominated for best performance by a female actor in a supporting role at the Golden Globes on Sunday (Jan. 11).<\/p>\n

\n\tShortly after the Variety interview was published, Grande addressed a fan post on Instagram<\/a> to clarify her remarks.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWelp i never said \u2018but soon enough\u2019 or mentioned any months ! lol my goooooodness,\u201d she wrote in the comments. \u201cAll i said was \u2018no\u2019 and \u2018do they think there\u2019s a clone of me out there somewhere\u2019! there must\u2019ve been a zoom glitch or something.\u201d She added, \u201cMa\u2019am i would need an extra brain and four more arms.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGrande has a packed schedule in the months ahead. In addition to her role in Wicked, she will star in the upcoming comedy Focker In-Law, appear in the new season of American Horror Story, and voice a character in the animated adaptation of the Dr. Seuss book Oh, the Places You\u2019ll Go!<\/p>\n

\n\tShe also teased a top-secret project<\/a> to Variety. \u201cI can\u2019t say much yet, but it\u2019s something that inspires me deeply,\u201d Grande said. \u201cIt contains multitudes.\u201d<\/p>\n
