Pic: Jim Campbell<\/p>\n<p>Wexford People<\/p>\n<p>Today at 05:40<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom0 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">A Wexford autism charity and advocacy group, has expressed their \u201cdeepest thanks\u201d to the team at Chadwicks Wexford who raised thousands of euro from a table quiz to support the local service.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Taking the initiative, Chadwicks Wexford hosted the quiz recently, at Bugler Doyles and raised \u20ac3,500 for the Cottage Autism Network (CAN).<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">CAN, a voluntary organisation, receives no core government funding and entirely on the generosity of local businesses and the public to keep their doors open.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">\u201cEvery cent of this donation goes directly back into frontline activities for our children and teenagers\u201d a spokesperson for the group said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">This funding from Chadwicks comes at a pivotal moment they move into an ambitious phase of growth for 2026. These funds have been earmarked to support two of their most vital projects.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Firstly, it will provide essential resources for weekly kids\u2019 clubs and teen groups. These social hubs are the heart of CAN, offering a consistent, safe, and neuro-affirming space where members can build friendships and social skills through play and shared interests.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Secondly, the donation will help launch a brand-new summer soccer experience. For many of their members, standard sports camps are inaccessible. This program will provide the one to one and two to one professional support ratios required to ensure that every child, regardless of their support needs, can enjoy the game in a safe, inclusive environment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">\u201cWhether it is funding a session at our Kids\u2019 Club or providing a trained support worker for our soccer pitch, this money allows us to move forward with our 2026 roadmap,\u201d they went on to say.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">\u201cIt brings us one step closer to our goal of expanding our respite-support model and launching our Mobile Sensory Hub to serve the entire county.
