\n\tThe Ye documentary In Whose Name?<\/a> has released an explosive trailer, featuring appearances from Drake,<\/a> Kim Kardashian and Elon Musk.<\/p>\n

\n\tDirected by Nico Ballesteros,<\/a> the doc follows Ye (formerly Kanye West) from about 2018 until 2024 and is completely shot on an iPhone. The trailer jumps around from West\u2019s deteriorating relationship with then-wife Kim Kardashian<\/a> \u2014 who filed for divorce in 2021 \u2014 to his failed 2020 presidential run and Sunday Service performances.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe best thing about being an artist who\u2019s bipolar is anything you do and say is an art piece,\u201d Ye says in the clip. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe doc pulls the curtain back on Ye to give fans an authentic look at the method to his madness in recent years and what makes him one of the most polarizing artists of the 21st century.<\/p>\n

\n\tThere are plenty of celebrity cameos, including studio sessions with Drake, Pharrell<\/a> and Swizz Beatz. <\/a>West is also shown walking out with Playboi Carti<\/a> and Marilyn Manson<\/a> at the Donda 2 listening party in Miami and delves into his relationship with his children. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cShould I have blown up the Gap sh\u2013? Should I have blown up the Adidas sh\u2013? But the answer is yes,\u201d he says, referencing his split with the companies following his antisemitic remarks in 2022. <\/a><\/p>\n

\n\tIn Whose Name? will be released in about 1,000 theaters across the U.S. on Sept. 19 for a limited time. Tickets can be purchased<\/a> on the doc\u2019s website. \u201cA documentary six years in the making,\u201d a press release for the film reads. \u201c3,000 hours of footage refined to one story about the world\u2019s most polarizing living artist.\u201d<\/p>\n
