{"id":280142,"date":"2026-01-12T01:23:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-12T01:23:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/280142\/"},"modified":"2026-01-12T01:23:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-12T01:23:10","slug":"median-house-price-in-donegal-reaches-e250000","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/280142\/","title":{"rendered":"Median house price in Donegal reaches \u20ac250,000"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The median house price in County Donegal has now reached \u20ac250,000.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s according to the most recent MyHome Property Report for Quarter 4 of 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Median home asking prices in the county climbed by 1.84%, up \u20ac5,000 on last year\u2019s Q4 figures.<\/p>\n<p>Year-on-year, the average price of a 4-bed, semi-detached house increased 2.23% in Donegal, up to a median asking price of \u20ac275,000.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest price spike in the county could be seen in the median price of a two-bedroom apartment.<\/p>\n<p>According to MyHome, the asking price for a two-bed apartment in Donegal rose by 14.62% compared to 2024, up to \u20ac149,000.<\/p>\n<p>The author of the MyHome report, Conall MacCoille, the Chief Economist at Bank of Ireland, said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis quarter\u2019s MyHome report adds to the evidence that the pace of Irish house price inflation is starting to soften. Asking prices were flat in Q4 2025, up just 0.1% in the usually quiet winter months, with the annual rate of inflation slowing to 5.4%.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe market is still very tight. In December there were just 12,200 properties listed for sale on MyHome. The median time-to-sale-agreed remains low at 5\u20136 weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr MacCoille added: \u201cHowever, the froth in the market is subsiding a little. The median premium over asking has fallen back from a peak of 8.6% in July, to 7.4% in October and November.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe mortgage data also pointed to more sedate mid-single digit gains heading into 2026.
