\u201cThe Pitt\u201d<\/a> was planted as he watched the American healthcare system attempt to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\u201cI called John Wells and said, \u2018I know you don\u2019t want to do \u201cER\u201d again, and I don\u2019t either, but there might be another story to tell about what\u2019s happening,\u2019\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The Golden Globe winner added that as he filmed \u201cThe Pitt,\u201d he realized the stark difference between the healthcare experiences of the country\u2019s upper and lower classes. The latter, he said, \u201cwere getting some of the worst medical information given to them.\u201d<\/p>\n
