Although there’s a lot of work left to complete over the next five months, it’s been a joy to commit to finally getting these things across their artistic finish lines before my focus naturally shifts to becoming a first-time father.<\/p>\n

In addition to Weinberg<\/b>, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES<\/b>‘ most recent lineup featured singer Mike Muir<\/b>, lead guitarist Dean Pleasants<\/b>, rhythm guitarist Ben Weinman<\/b> (THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN<\/b>) and bassist Tye Trujillo<\/b> (son of METALLICA<\/b> bassist Robert Trujillo<\/b>).<\/p>\n
Jay<\/b> played his first concert with SUICIDAL TENDENCIES<\/b> in March 2024 in Osaka, Japan.<\/p>\n
Weinberg<\/b>‘s pairing with SUICIDAL TENDENCIES<\/b> came less than two months after he was announced as the new drummer of INFECTIOUS GROOVES<\/b>, the long-running outfit formed more than three decades ago by Robert Trujillo<\/b> alongside Robert<\/b>‘s then-SUICIDAL TENDENCIES<\/b> bandmate Mike Muir<\/b>.<\/p>\n
Last November, Jay<\/b> and his wife Chloe<\/b> announced that they were anticipating the arrival of their first baby.<\/p>\n
Throughout 2025, Weinberg<\/b> had been actively involved with SUICIDAL TENDENCIES<\/b> and INFECTIOUS GROOVES<\/b>. Additionally, he released his debut solo track titled “Sandstone”<\/b>, featuring George Clarke<\/b> of DEAFHEAVEN<\/b> on vocals. Jay<\/b> revealed that the song was the first of a series of upcoming collaborations, showcasing various guest singers whom Weinberg<\/b> has been developing material with over several years.<\/p>\n
On November 5, 2023, SLIPKNOT<\/b> released a statement via social media in which it said it had “decided to make a creative decision and to part ways with Jay<\/b>.”<\/p>\n
Six days later, Weinberg<\/b>, who replaced Joey Jordison<\/b>, SLIPKNOT<\/b>‘s original drummer, in 2013, shared on Instagram that he “was heartbroken and blindsided to receive the phone call”, “the news of which, most of you learned shortly after.”<\/p>\n
Jay<\/b> played his final show with SLIPKNOT<\/b> on November 3, 2023 at the Hell & Heaven<\/b> festival in Toluca, Mexico.<\/p>\n
In February 2024, SLIPKNOT<\/b> recruited former SEPULTURA<\/b> drummer Eloy Casagrande<\/b> as the replacement for Jay<\/b>.<\/p>\n
Prior to joining SLIPKNOT<\/b>, Jay<\/b> played with AGAINST ME!<\/b> and MADBALL<\/b>.<\/p>\n
