{"id":282783,"date":"2026-01-13T22:34:08","date_gmt":"2026-01-13T22:34:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/282783\/"},"modified":"2026-01-13T22:34:08","modified_gmt":"2026-01-13T22:34:08","slug":"kerry-people-advised-to-assess-what-is-important-to-them-when-it-comes-to-health-insurance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/282783\/","title":{"rendered":"Kerry people advised to assess what is important to them when it comes to health insurance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>People in Kerry should assess what cover is important to them when it comes to health insurance.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s the advice of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiokerry.ie\/podcasts\/kerry-today\/is-it-possible-to-make-savings-on-health-insurance-january-13th-2026-467658\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Brian Turner<\/a>, who is a senior lecturer in finance, specialising in health insurance \u2013 at UCC.<\/p>\n<p>According to figures from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hia.ie\/?gad_source=1&amp;gad_campaignid=21851987160&amp;gclid=EAIaIQobChMIq5fc77-IkgMVu5xQBh05Wjo6EAAYASAAEgIK3_D_BwE\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Health Insurance Authority<\/a>, between 2022 and 2024, the cost of claims increased by 20% in Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Turner says there are many reasons behind the rise in premiums, including a growing and aging population, advancements in healthcare, and treatment costs.<\/p>\n<p>He recommends that people plan ahead and tailor their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiokerry.ie\/news\/health\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">health<\/a> insurance plan to their needs:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"People in Kerry should assess what cover is important to them when it comes to health insurance.
