Kate Middleton reportedly descended on a small UK bistro with members of her family and impressed those who work there with her “utterly charming” personality. The Princess of Wales <\/a>decided to mark her 44th birthday last week<\/a> (January 9) with a laid-back lunch with her mother, Carole Middleton and sister, Pippa<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The three Middletons dined at The Funghi Club, a “tiny” French bistro that offers patrons a “relaxed and carefree feeling” in Hungerford, Berkshire, much to the delight of those who work at the establishment.<\/p>\n

Kate <\/a>managed to “celebrate her birthday in peace”, unlike her brother-in-law, Prince Harry, and his wife<\/a>, Meghan Markle, who the “whole world<\/a> seems to know about” when they dine, according to The Mail’s Richard Eden.<\/p>\n

It seems that the future Queen <\/a>has made quite the impression on the little bistro. A staff member told Richard: “We had the enormous pleasure of welcoming a rather extraordinary guest. She was utterly charming, gracious and every bit as radiant in person as you’d imagine.”<\/p>\n

In further comments about their famous guest, they added that it was “a little moment of magic for our small bistro – and one we won’t forget”.<\/p>\n

To coincide with her birthday, the Princess of Wales<\/a> also appeared in the last instalment of her Mother Nature video series<\/a> (winter).<\/p>\n

In comments about her cancer <\/a>battle, Kate said that being able to heal in nature had allowed her to “Come to peace with our tears and discover what it means to be alive”.<\/p>\n

It represents the end of a highly personal creative project for the Princess of Wales, one that Kensington Palace<\/a> says highlights our links to the natural world<\/a> and its ability to inspire us and help us heal.<\/p>\n

Launched in 2025, the project started off with the spring episode at the beginning of Mental Health Awareness Week<\/a>. In this latest instalment, Kate can be seen walking in Berkshire.<\/p>\n

She said: “Even in the coldest, darkest season, winter has a way of bringing us stillness, patience and quiet consideration. Where the stream slows just enough for us to see our own reflection.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo discover the deepest parts of ourselves. Alongside the whispers in the pulse of every living thing. I find myself reflecting on how deeply grateful I am.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the rivers within us flow with ease, fears washed away, cleanse and purify. Come to peace with our tears and discover what it means to be alive. To be at one with nature; a quiet teacher and a soft voice that guides. In memory. Helping us to heal.\u201d<\/p>\n
