Ben Affleck<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s kids were pumped to visit Matt Damon<\/strong><\/a> on the set of Christopher Nolan<\/strong>\u2019s The Odyssey<\/a>, but Affleck\u2019s own movie sets? Not so much.<\/p>\n

Affleck, 53, and Damon, 55, dropped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/a> on Tuesday, January 13, to promote their new movie The Rip<\/a>, where Affleck revealed that he took his children to the set of the upcoming fantasy epic.<\/p>\n

The Argo director and actor shares three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner<\/strong><\/a>: Violet<\/strong>, 20, Seraphina, 17, and Samuel, 13.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a huge fan of Chris\u2019,\u201d Affleck said<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s one of those things where my kids never want to come to the set when I\u2019m working. \u2018Hey, you guys, we\u2019re doing a thing on the set\u2019 and they\u2019re like, \u2018No, I got school.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tFatherhood fun! Ben Affleck has given rare glimpses of his bond with his and Jennifer Garner\u2019s three kids over the years. The actor first became a dad in December 2005 when he and the Alias alum welcomed daughter Violet, six months after tying the knot in France. The then-couple went on to welcome daughter Seraphina [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cBut they were really psyched to come visit this set. My middle child\u2019s really interested in reading the Iliad and the Odyssey, and we went there, and it was really great.\u201d<\/p>\n

Affleck said he was \u201cgrateful\u201d that fellow Oscar winner Nolan, 55, allowed him to visit the movie set.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy kids really liked it,\u201d he shared. \u201cIt was kinda cool. It was really, really nice. I was deeply grateful to him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Damon then went on to reveal that Affleck and his children got quite the VIP experience because there were no other guests allowed on set. (The Odyssey filmed on location in Morocco, Greece, Italy, Iceland and Scotland between February and August 2025.)<\/p>\n

\u201cYou were the only guest in six months of shooting,\u201d Damon told his longtime pal.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just the workload, it was such an ambitious project that the amount of work that needed to be done, there was just no time for anything else,\u201d Damon explained. \u201cI\u2019ve never, ever done a movie that just required every single person to work, to kind of give maximum effort.\u201d<\/p>\n

Damon added, \u201cI said to [Affleck] when I got back, every location on that movie would have been the hardest location on any other movie I\u2019ve ever done, and any day of work would have been harder than any other day on any other movie I\u2019ve ever done.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the intense shooting schedule, Damon said he is incredibly proud of the movie, which is an adaptation of Homer\u2019s ancient Greek epic poem.<\/p>\n

Damon plays Greek king Odysseus in the movie, which also stars Anne Hathaway<\/strong>, Tom Holland<\/strong>, Zendaya<\/strong>, Robert Pattinson<\/strong>, Lupita Nyong\u2019o<\/strong> and Charlize Theron<\/strong>. The Odyssey is set for release on July 16.<\/p>\n

Also on Tuesday, Affleck gushed exclusively to Us Weekly<\/a> about reuniting with Damon in their new film, The Rip.<\/p>\n
