{"id":284391,"date":"2026-01-14T19:04:07","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T19:04:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/284391\/"},"modified":"2026-01-14T19:04:07","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T19:04:07","slug":"daly-criticises-lack-of-planning-for-dental-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/284391\/","title":{"rendered":"Daly criticises \u201clack of planning\u201d for dental services"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Irish Dental Association says more funding, along with a new contract for dentists, needs to be negotiated for medical card patients.<\/p>\n<p>The group says less than one in four dentists are signed up to the scheme, and it has also called for a complete overhaul.<\/p>\n<p>Treatment fees for dentists were last increased in 2022, and the association says its ready to talk to the HSE about improvements and changes that are needed.<\/p>\n<p>The Joint Committee on Health met this morning to discuss dental services in the healthcare system.<\/p>\n<p>Fianna Fail TD for Roscommon-Galway Dr. Martin Daly is on the committee and says there is a serious lack of planning by the Department of Health.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Daly has been giving more details to Midwest Radio\u2019s Michael D.
