A few months ago, Tyler \u2014 who has been open about his \u201ctraumatic\u201d experience<\/a> of being a child star \u2014 addressed a long-running rumor about his Everybody Hates Chris earnings.\"Tichina<\/p>\n

During an interview with Complex<\/a>, Tyler was asked about unverified reports that he was paid \u201c$250,000 per episode\u201d while on the sitcom. He replied, \u201cStop believing anything you see somebody put in big bold letters on the internet. It\u2019s not correct.\u201d\"Tyler<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s not how the entertainment industry works,\u201d he continued. \u201cWhen you first come in on your first show, your quota\u2019s really, really low. Thankfully, it\u2019s not where it was back in the day, but no, that\u2019s not true.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fast-forward to today, and fellow former child star Keke Palmer<\/a> \u2014 who starred in Nickelodeon\u2019s True Jackson, VP, as well as various movies during her childhood \u2014 has recalled being left shocked when she discovered that Tyler had a black card at the age of 14.\"Keke<\/p>\n

If you didn\u2019t know, a black card is a\u00a0luxury credit card<\/a>\u00a0that is often available only by invitation.<\/p>\n

Appearing on a recent Twitch livestream<\/a> with rapper PlaqueBoyMax, Keke said, \u201cLet me tell you a story. So, Tyler James, when we were kids, it was me, Tyler, a couple of the kids\u2026from kid actor world, we were all together at Universal CityWalk when we were teenagers.\u201d\"Young\u00a0Tyler<\/p>\n

Keke went on to claim that Tyler earned roughly $200,000 per episode on Everybody Hates Chris. \u201cHe was making, like, $200,000 an episode at that age!\u201d she alleged<\/a>. To clarify, Tyler has not disclosed how much he earned on the show.\"Young<\/p>\n

The Twitch clip has since picked up steam online, with several users shocked at Keke\u2019s revelation. \u201cBlack card at FOURTEEN?\u201d one person tweeted<\/a>, while another wrote<\/a>, \u201c14 with a black card? That\u2019s not a kid, that\u2019s a whole CEO.\u201d\"Tyler<\/p>\n

At the same time, several people raised their eyebrows over Keke sharing Tyler\u2019s personal business<\/a>, especially given how recently he denied<\/a> the reports about his earnings. \u201cTalking about money like this is still tacky to me I’m not gonna lie. Especially about someone who is not there,\u201d someone wrote<\/a>. \u201cKeke is the friend that talks too damn much,\u201d another person said<\/a>.\"Keke<\/p>\n
