A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with an incident in which a man \u201cindecently exposed himself\u201d outside a school in Derry<\/a> on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The PSNI<\/a> is investigating two incidents in the city which they believe may be linked. They include the indecent exposure incident as well as a separate incident in which a woman was followed in the early hours of the morning.<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday and remains in police custody.<\/p>\n

Police have issued descriptions of the suspects in both incidents and want to hear from witnesses to both.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first incident was a report on Tuesday 13 January that a man indecently exposed himself in the Culmore Road area of the city, at approximately 3.30-3.40pm in the vicinity of a school,\u201d a PSNI statement said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe suspect in this incident is described as a black male, approximately six foot tall and wore a blue coat, blue chino-type trousers, dark-coloured shoes, had a tight short haircut and with an athletic build, and aged between 30 and 40 years old. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe second incident was reported at 1.40am today, Wednesday, 14 January. A woman is reported to have been followed by a man she didn\u2019t know while walking on Great James Street approximately 20 minutes earlier. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis male is described as having a dark skin tone, wore a black top and grey bottoms and followed the woman, walking a distance behind her. The woman was able to make her way to safety, but has been left distressed by the incident. <\/p>\n

\u201cPolice patrols were conducted within the Great James Street area and nearby streets, however, there was no further sightings of this male.\u201d<\/p>\n
