{"id":285728,"date":"2026-01-15T12:30:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-15T12:30:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/285728\/"},"modified":"2026-01-15T12:30:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-15T12:30:09","slug":"bench-warrant-issued-for-man-over-theft-of-e10-of-wine-in-dungloe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/285728\/","title":{"rendered":"Bench warrant issued for man over theft of \u20ac10 of wine in Dungloe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A man who was arrested on foot of a bench warrant and remanded to appear at An Clochan Liath \/ Dungloe District Court has again failed to attend court.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A new bench warrant was issued in respect of Francis Kelly, 38, of 6 Bundoran Westend Accommodation, West End, Bundoran was due before the court this week.<\/p>\n<p>He is facing a charge of theft of property from Aldi, Carnmore Road, Dungloe, on December 29, 2023. The goods stolen are two mini white wines at \u20ac1.99 each, a Pinot Grigio can at \u20ac2.29 and a Rose USA at \u20ac3.49. <\/p>\n<p>The total value of the items is \u20ac9.76. The offence is contrary to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001.<\/p>\n<p>Having previously appeared in relation to the matter, Kelly failed to attend court in Dungloe on December 9, 2025. A warrant for his arrest was issued.<\/p>\n<p>The bench warrant was executed, and Kelly was brought before Ballyshannon District Court on December 19, 2025. He was ordered to appear before An Clochan Liath \/ Dungloe District Court on January 13, 2026.
