Alexander Isak\u2019s desired move to Liverpool could develop once Newcastle<\/a> sign one of their two required strikers, with a deal likely at lower than \u00a3150 million.<\/b><\/p>\n

With Isak digging his heels in over a departure from St James\u2019 Park this summer, Newcastle<\/a>\u2018s position on the Swede\u2019s future has weakened.<\/p>\n

However the situation remains reliant on at least one new striker joining Eddie Howe\u2019s squad before any move is sanctioned for their No. 14.<\/p>\n

There has long been confusing messaging around Isak\u2019s future, with Newcastle<\/a> sources insisting he is not for sale \u2013 but also that, if he is, it would take a fee in the region of \u00a3150 million.<\/p>\n

But the Times<\/a>\u2018 Martin Hardy and Paul Joyce have provided an update this week, suggesting that a package worth \u00a3130 million could be enough to reach an agreement.<\/p>\n

That would be inclusive of add-ons, with Liverpool\u2019s only official bid for Isak so far being a flat sum of \u00a3110 million.<\/p>\n

In theory the champions could potentially increase that offer with up to \u00a320 million in achievable add-ons in order to satisfy the demands from Tyneside.<\/p>\n

There are however \u201cconsiderable doubts\u201d over whether Liverpool would be willing to go as high as \u00a3130 million, particularly given there is a clear commitment from Isak.<\/p>\n

If such a deal can brokered, though, Newcastle<\/a> could then find themselves in a much stronger position to strengthen both this summer and, if needed, in the January transfer window.<\/p>\n

It is explained that at least one of the two strikers they need must be signed before any move for Isak is permitted, and The Athletic<\/a>\u2018s David Ornstein has now reported that Jorgen Strand Larsen has informed Wolves<\/a> of his desire to join.<\/p>\n

Wolves<\/a> are however insistent Larsen is not for sale, though head coach Vitor Pereira admitted earlier this week that \u201cevery player has his price\u201d and there are suggestions a third bid of upwards of \u00a360 million would be enough.<\/p>\n

Brentford<\/a>\u2018s Yoane Wissa is another known target but no agreement has been possible yet following two bids \u2013 with the London club also seeking as much as \u00a360 million.<\/p>\n

Clearly the situation must move quickly in order for Isak to secure his switch to Anfield, with the transfer deadline set for 7pm on Monday evening.<\/p>\n
