The popular retailer’s much loved themed cafes are set to shut their doors in many locations over the next 12 months with the store confirming four closures already\"Primark<\/p>\n

Primark customers are set to see a change in their shopping experience as the popular retailer is set to close down several of its cafes.<\/p>\n

The budget chain<\/a> features cafes in some of its biggest chains which have been a huge hit with shoppers.<\/p>\n

The Primark eateries <\/a>feature themed food and drink and quirky d\u00e9cor inspired by popular franchises including Stranger Things, Shrek, The Simpsons, Lilo and Stitch and Hello Kitty.<\/p>\n

However the brand is now preparing to close many of the cafes permanently. Four sites have been earmarked for closure, with decisions based on each store’s size and location.<\/p>\n

The news was first revealed following a social media video appearing to show Primark cafe workers allegedly facing redundancy, reports the Express<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The short clip shows three staff members wiping down tables and serving behind the counter in a Primark cafe, accompanied by the caption: “Us because we are getting made redundant and will never see each other again. RIP Primark cafe.”<\/p>\n

However, Primark has clarified that no employees are currently impacted due to these closures. A company spokesperson said: “We know how important our stores are to our customers and we’re constantly reviewing them to ensure we provide the best shopping experience.”<\/p>\n

They went on: “As we’ve expanded our own product offering, we are adapting our spaces so that each store is best set up to cater to local customer preferences.”<\/p>\n

“As part of this, we have been reviewing our in-store concessions and considering how we maximise and best use the space we have in our stores.<\/p>\n

“Over the next 12 months customers will start to see the closure of some concessions. These decisions are being informed by the size and location of each store.”<\/p>\n

They confirmed that Primark cafes at Glasgow’s Braehead shopping centre, Edinburgh’s Princes Street, Birmingham High Street and Belfast’s Royal Avenue will be among those closing their doors.<\/p>\n

The spokesperson added: “As this will be managed over the next 12 months and beyond, no Primark colleagues are currently impacted.<\/p>\n
