{"id":28599,"date":"2025-08-28T11:29:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-28T11:29:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/28599\/"},"modified":"2025-08-28T11:29:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-28T11:29:09","slug":"apple-pulls-iphone-torrent-app-from-altstore-pal-in-europe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/28599\/","title":{"rendered":"Apple pulls iPhone torrent app from AltStore PAL in Europe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Apple has removed the iPhone torrenting client, iTorrent, from AltStore PAL\u2019s alternative iOS marketplace in the EU, showing that it can still exert control over apps that aren\u2019t listed on the official App Store. iTorrent developer Daniil Vinogradov told <a href=\"https:\/\/torrentfreak.com\/apple-revokes-eu-distribution-rights-for-torrent-client-developer-left-in-the-dark\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TorrentFreak<\/a> that Apple has revoked his distribution rights to publish apps in any alternative iOS stores, so the issue isn\u2019t tied to AltStore PAL itself.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">\u201cApple removed Alternative Distribution functionality from iTorrent\u2019s Developer Portal without any warning,\u201d Vinogradov said on <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/XITRIX\/iTorrent\/issues\/401#issuecomment-3112600292\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iTorrent\u2019s Github page<\/a>. Apple has not provided a reason for the removal, according Vinogradov, and distribution was revoked at the Apple Dev Account level.
