Krafton has 26 games in development, and in a recent town hall meeting, the company <a href=\"https:\/\/krafton.com\/en\/news\/press\/krafton-to-expand-pubg-ip-and-accelerate-game-development-to-secure-a-franchise-ip\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">outlined a plan<\/a> to \u201cfocus on its core gaming business while outlining a disciplined approach to building long-term Franchise IPs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">\u201cDuring the past year, KRAFTON has prepared for Franchise IP development by strengthening its creative leadership, as well as upgrading its overall game development and publishing frameworks,\u201d the company says. \u201cIn 2026, the company will ramp up development of new titles with potential to grow into Franchise IPs, while at the same time accelerating the growth of the PUBG IP Franchise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">The \u201c26-project development pipeline\u201d is \u201cintentionally structured around early validation and clear decision gates,\u201d Krafton says. 12 games, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/758265\/subnautica-2-lawsuit-response-krafton-unknown-worlds\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Subnautica 2<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2024\/10\/2\/24260580\/pubg-developer-palworld-mobile-nintendo-lawsuit\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Palworld Mobile<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=uD6kFXZlX00\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">No Law<\/a>, are targeted for a release within \u201cthe next two years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Krafton still plans to build out the PUBG franchise, including expanding the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/games\/716209\/pubg-2-0-fortnite-roblox-platform-krafton-earnings\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">user-generated content<\/a> that \u201cleverages PUBG\u2019s core gunplay, mechanics, and physics engine, consolidating an ecosystem where players can create and share their own content.\u201d (PUBG: Battlegrounds is still a huge game \u2014 as I write this, it has nearly 200,000 concurrent players and is the fourth most-played game on the platform, according <a href=\"https:\/\/go.skimresources.com\/?id=1025X1701640&amp;xs=1&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fstore.steampowered.com%2Fcharts%2Fmostplayed\" rel=\"sponsored nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">to Steam\u2019s charts<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">The company also reiterated its commitment announced last year to being <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/805509\/krafton-pubg-ai-first-developer-agentic-gpu-cluster\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cAI First,\u201d<\/a> saying it is \u201cevaluating how its game technology may eventually be applied to areas such as physical AI and robotics,\u201d which it calls \u201clong-term exploratory
