\u201cThe Pitt<\/a>\u201d made a massive leap in audience size with its Season 2 premiere. Releasing on Jan. 8, the opening episode hit 5.4 million viewers over three days, marking a nearly 200% increase from the series premiere in 2025.<\/p>\n

The episode has continued to accrue past that point as well; to date, one week after the premiere, it has reached 7.2 million viewers. These totals, measured by Warner Bros. Discovery<\/a>, refer to U.S. viewership alone.<\/p>\n

The increased attention on \u201cThe Pitt<\/a>\u201d comes as no surprise. The medical drama was an immediate hit with critics upon its debut last year and grew via word-of-mouth with each episode, eventually becoming a heavy-hitter at awards shows. At the Emmys in September, it took home five trophies including best drama series and best lead actor for Noah Wyle<\/a> \u2014 then nabbed the same two awards at the Golden Globes on Sunday.<\/p>\n
