Five years later, the drama surrounding Chris Noth\u2019s<\/a> exit from And Just Like That \u2026<\/a> is still haunting us. After seemingly taking a jab at Sarah Jessica Parker<\/a> in his Instagram comments section this month, Noth is now saying that actually, he was just kidding.<\/p>\n Last week, Noth, who starred as Mr. Big in Sex and the City and both of its subsequent movies, posted<\/a> a grizzled photo of himself mean-mugging while working out in the gym with the caption, \u201cF&@k new years – LETS GO!!!!\u201d One follower responded, \u201cYou mean fuck sjp & her award right? Lol,\u201d referring to Noth\u2019s former co-star Sarah Jessica Parker<\/a>, who\u2019d received<\/a> the Carol Burnett award<\/a> at the Golden Globes a few days earlier. \u201cRight,\u201d Noth replied, setting off a firestorm of discourse.<\/p>\n\n Noth has not exactly gotten along with the AJLT crew since 2021, when he was accused by multiple women of sexual assault several days after the premiere aired the death of his character. As a result, Noth\u2019s final scene was reportedly<\/a> cut from the reboot\u2019s season-one finale, and the show\u2019s female leads \u2014 Parker included \u2014 publicly stood behind his accusers, writing in a joint statement<\/a> that they were \u201cdeeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth.\u201d Noth has since repeatedly denied<\/a> any wrongdoing, saying in a statement at the time that \u201cno means no\u201d and \u201cthat is a line I did not cross.\u201d<\/p>\n Since then, he\u2019s kept a relatively low profile \u2014 he\u2019s appeared in one movie, 2025\u2019s The Block<\/a>, in the past five years. On Wednesday, he seemingly tried to walk back his comment<\/a>,\u00a0telling everyone that no one should be investigating whether Carrie and Mr. Big are beefing. He did so in an Instagram post featuring his own headshot, naturally, where he wrote, \u201cMy off-the-cuff slightly sarcastic response to a comment on the internet seems to have caused a tempest in a teapot.\u201d<\/p>\n\n \u201cIt is not news.
