In November 2025, compared with October 2025, seasonally adjusted industrial production increased by 0.7% in the euro area<\/strong> and by 0.2% in the EU<\/strong>, according to first estimates from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union<\/strong>. In October 2025, industrial production grew by 0.7% in the euro area<\/strong> and by 0.2% in the EU<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In November 2025, compared with November 2024, industrial production increased by 2.5% in the euro area<\/strong> and by 2.2% in the EU<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The highest monthly increases were recorded in Estonia<\/strong> (+6.0%), Lithuania<\/strong> (+5.8%) and Czechia<\/strong> (+2.3%). The largest decreases were observed in Luxembourg<\/strong> (-7.3%), Denmark<\/strong> (-5.1%) and Portugal<\/strong> (-3.0%). <\/p>\n

In the euro area<\/strong> in November 2025, compared with November 2024, industrial production<\/p>\n

The highest annual increases were recorded in Ireland<\/strong> (+10.6%), Cyprus<\/strong> (+10.5%) and Croatia<\/strong> (+8.8%). The largest decreases were observed in Bulgaria<\/strong> (-9.3%), Malta<\/strong> (-8.2%) and Hungary<\/strong> (-5.5%). <\/p>\n

\n Revisions and timetable<\/p>\n

Compared with data issued in the News Release<\/a> of 15 December 2025, the monthly percentage increase for October 2025 has been revised from +0.8% to +0.7% in the in the euro area and from +0.3% to +0.2% in the EU. The annual percentage increase has been revised from +2.0% to +1.7% in the in the euro area and from +1.9% to +1.7% in the EU.<\/p>\n

Methods and definitions<\/p>\n

The index of industrial production<\/strong> measures the evolution of the volume of production for industry excluding construction, based on data adjusted for calendar and seasonal effects.<\/p>\n

Seasonally adjusted<\/strong> euro area and EU series are calculated by aggregating the seasonally adjusted national data.<\/p>\n

Total industry covers NACE rev.2<\/a> sections B to D. Missing observations from Member States for recent months are estimated for the calculation of the euro area and the EU aggregates.<\/p>\n

Geographical information<\/p>\n

Up to 31 December 2025, the euro area<\/strong> included Belgium, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Greece, Spain,<\/p>\n

France, Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Austria,<\/p>\n

Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia and Finland (EA20)<\/strong>. From 1 January 2026, the euro area<\/strong> also includes<\/p>\n

Bulgaria (EA21)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The aggregate data series commented on in this Euro indicator release refer to the official composition<\/p>\n

of the euro area in the most recent month for which data are available. Thus, Euro indicator releases<\/p>\n

with data for months up to December 2025 comment on EA20 series, while releases with data for<\/p>\n

January 2026 onwards will comment on EA21 series.<\/p>\n
