In October 2025, industrial production grew by 0.7% in the <strong>euro area<\/strong> and by 0.2% in the <strong>EU<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" height=\"1.5\" marginleft=\"0\" style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.5; margin-left: 0px;\">In November 2025, compared with November 2024, industrial production increased by 2.5% in the <strong>euro area<\/strong> and by 2.2% in the <strong> EU<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\" height=\"1.5\" marginleft=\"0\" style=\"text-align: left; line-height: 1.5; margin-left: 0px;\">In the <strong>euro area<\/strong> in November 2025, compared with October 2025, industrial production<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" height=\"150%\" marginleft=\"0\" style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; margin-left: 0px;\">The highest monthly increases were recorded in <strong>Estonia<\/strong> (+6.0%), <strong>Lithuania<\/strong> (+5.8%) and <strong>Czechia<\/strong> (+2.3%). The largest decreases were observed in <strong>Luxembourg<\/strong> (-7.3%), <strong>Denmark<\/strong> (-5.1%) and <strong>Portugal<\/strong> (-3.0%). <\/p>\n<p align=\"left\" height=\"1.5\" marginleft=\"0\" style=\"text-align: left; line-height: 1.5; margin-left: 0px;\">In the <strong>euro area<\/strong> in November 2025, compared with November 2024, industrial production<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\" height=\"150%\" marginleft=\"0\" style=\"text-align: left; line-height: 150%; margin-left: 0px;\">The highest annual increases were recorded in <strong>Ireland<\/strong> (+10.6%), <strong>Cyprus<\/strong> (+10.5%) and <strong>Croatia<\/strong> (+8.8%). The annual percentage increase has been revised from +2.0% to +1.7% in the in the euro area and from +1.9% to +1.7% in the EU.<\/p>\n<p> Methods and definitions<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\" height=\"1.5\" marginleft=\"0\" style=\"text-align: left; line-height: 1.5; margin-left: 0px;\">The <strong>index of industrial production<\/strong> measures the evolution of the volume of production for industry excluding construction, based on data adjusted for calendar and seasonal effects.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" height=\"1.5\" marginleft=\"0\" style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.5; margin-left: 0px;\"><strong>Seasonally adjusted<\/strong> euro area and EU series are calculated by aggregating the seasonally adjusted national data.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" height=\"1.5\" marginleft=\"0\" style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.5; margin-left: 0px;\">Total industry covers <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/web\/metadata\/classifications\" title=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/web\/metadata\/classifications\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">NACE rev.2<\/a> sections B to D. Missing observations from Member States for recent months are estimated for the calculation of the euro area and the EU aggregates.<\/p>\n<p> Geographical information<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\" height=\"1\" marginleft=\"0\" style=\"text-align: left; line-height: 1; margin-left: 0px;\">Up to 31 December 2025, the <strong>euro area<\/strong> included Belgium, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Greece, Spain,<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\" height=\"1\" marginleft=\"0\" style=\"text-align: left; line-height: 1; margin-left: 0px;\">France, Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Austria,<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\" height=\"1\" marginleft=\"0\" style=\"text-align: left; line-height: 1; margin-left: 0px;\">Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia and Finland <strong>(EA20)<\/strong>. From 1 January 2026, the <strong>euro area<\/strong> also includes<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\" height=\"1\" marginleft=\"0\" style=\"text-align: left; line-height: 1; margin-left: 0px;\">Bulgaria <strong>(EA21)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\" height=\"1\" marginleft=\"0\" style=\"text-align: left; line-height: 1; margin-left: 0px;\">The aggregate data series commented on in this Euro indicator release refer to the official composition<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\" height=\"1\" marginleft=\"0\" style=\"text-align: left; line-height: 1; margin-left: 0px;\">of the euro area in the most recent month for which data are available.
