Jacob Elordi\u2019s mother, Melissa Elordi, had an awkward backstage interaction with Leonardo DiCaprio at the 2026 Golden Globes <\/a>that was caught on camera.<\/p>\n

The \u201cEuphoria\u201d star was filmed introducing his mom to both Sean Penn and DiCaprio in a TikTok video<\/a> posted on the official Golden Globes TikTok account. After Melissa happily bounded up to meet Penn \u2014 who appeared to take the gum he was chewing out of his mouth before shaking her hand \u2014 she then shook hands with DiCaprio.<\/p>\n

DiCaprio politely told her, \u201cHello, nice to meet you,\u201d before pointing to his own mother \u2014 Irmelin Indenbirkin\u2014 whom was by his side as well during the ceremony.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy mom,\u201d he told Melissa, clearly wanting the two to meet.<\/p>\n

However, Melissa was no longer paying attention and resumed speaking to Penn.<\/p>\n

Jacob then tried to redirect his mom to acknowledge DiCaprio\u2019s mom, though Melissa continued speaking to Penn.<\/p>\n

Fans took note of Melissa appearing to accidentally snub DiCaprio in the comment section.<\/p>\n

Although his \u201cOne Battle After Another\u201d co-star Teyana Taylor initially said he was speaking to her,<\/a> she later walked it back during her appearance on \u201cThe Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon\u201d Wednesday and said that he told her he wasn\u2019t speaking to her.<\/a><\/p>\n
