{"id":287687,"date":"2026-01-16T14:55:07","date_gmt":"2026-01-16T14:55:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/287687\/"},"modified":"2026-01-16T14:55:07","modified_gmt":"2026-01-16T14:55:07","slug":"cheryl-tweedy-stalker-recalled-to-prison","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/287687\/","title":{"rendered":"Cheryl Tweedy stalker recalled to prison"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man who has repeatedly targeted Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Tweedy has been recalled to prison after breaching his licence conditions, the UK&#8217;s HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) has said.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel Bannister, 51, was jailed for 12 months in September 2025 after admitting breaching a restraining order by turning up at Tweedy\u2019s home for a fourth time.<\/p>\n<p>HMPPS confirmed a recall warrant was issued on Tuesday following his release. A spokesperson said: &#8220;As this case shows, we do not hesitate to send offenders back to prison where necessary if they break the rules.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Bannister previously received further jail terms for breaching court orders linked to Tweedy, including a 16-week sentence at Wycombe Magistrates\u2019 Court in March 2025.
