If Bethenny Frankel is happy for NeNe Leakes on her return to Bravo like she claims to be, she sure has a peculiar way of showing it. <\/p>\n
The \u201cReal Housewives of New York City\u201d alum took to Instagram<\/a> Friday to give her \u201cshady\u201d reaction to Leakes\u2019 long-awaited return to the network for the upcoming series \u201cReal Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip,\u201d a special celebrating 20 years of\u00a0the \u201cReal Housewives\u201d franchise.<\/p>\n Although Frankel began the video insisting she was \u201cso happy\u201d and \u201cthrilled\u201d for Leakes, she then went on to say Leakes may be returning to Bravo due to financial woes or to stay relevant.<\/p>\n Bethenny Frankel shared her \u201cshady\u201d reaction to NeNe Leakes\u2019 Bravo return on Instagram Friday. NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images<\/p>\n The Skinny Girl founder then tried to take credit for the road trip show, claiming she pitched a similar series to Bravo producers that would have revolved around just her and Leakes, 58, going \u201cacross the country in an RV.\u201d<\/p>\n Frankel, 55, alleged that her pitch was shot down because production said they \u201ccould never touch\u201d a project involving the \u201cReal Housewives of Atlanta\u201d alum because she is \u201ckryptonite and toxic.\u201d<\/p>\n She did not disclose when she pitched the idea but claims to \u201chave all the receipts.\u201d<\/p>\n In her long rant, Frankel also made sure to bring up the \u201cinteresting dynamic\u201d she expects Leakes will have working with the network again after filing a lawsuit against Bravo<\/a> and Andy Cohen in 2022.<\/p>\n Frankel also claimed she came up with the road trip idea that is now being used for the \u201cReal Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip,\u201d which Leakes will star in. That\u2019s just an interesting dynamic. I don\u2019t know if there are any other examples of that.\u201d<\/p>\n In the suit, Leakes \u2014 who left \u201cRHOA\u201d in September 2020 \u2014 accused them of \u201cfoster[ing] a corporate and workplace culture in which racially insensitive and inappropriate behavior is tolerated \u2014 if not, encouraged.\u201d<\/p>\n However, after four months of\u00a0\u201cnegotiating\u201d between the parties<\/a>, Leakes\u00a0filed to dismiss the case<\/a>\u00a0\u201cwithout prejudice,\u201d giving her the ability to reopen it at a later time.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s a positive thing in the way that the bridge was not burned because they are doing this show with NeNe with the same concept except this is a different group of people and mine was just about her and I alone,\u201d Frankel said.<\/p>\n The Skinny Girl Founder also brought up Leakes\u2019 2022 lawsuit against Bravo and Andy Cohen which she thinks will make for an \u201cinteresting dynamic.\u201d NBCU Photo Bank\/NBCUniversal via Getty Images<\/p>\n But fans in the comments section didn\u2019t appreciate her \u201cshady\u201d take and also were not convinced she came up the show\u2019s idea. NBCU Photo Bank\/NBCUniversal via Getty Images<\/p>\n Other Bravo fans pointed out the fact that there was already a road trip show with Leakes and fellow \u201cRHOA\u201d alum Kim Zolciak in the works<\/a> 11 years ago, so they weren\u2019t convinced Frankel came up with the idea.<\/p>\n Leakes and Cohen were able to reconcile after she openly criticized him, while notably, Frankel and Cohen were never able to do the same after her \u201creality reckoning\u201d<\/a> \u2014 a movement in which she tried to expose Bravo and Cohen.<\/p>\n Cohen and Frankel\u2019s feud continues to rage on years later as the \u201cWatch What Happens Live\u201d host called her a \u201cmargarita lady\u201d<\/a> and slammed her \u201csuffocating\u201d social media videos.<\/p>\n A rep for Leakes did not immediately respond to Page Six\u2019s request for comment. <\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t
