MUSKOGEE NATION LEADERS ANNOUNCING A NEW MOBILE GAMING APP THAT ALLOWS ELIGIBLE PLAYERS TO PLAY BINGO STYLE GAMES ANYWHERE WITHIN THE RESERVATION. KOCO JASON BURGER JOINS US LIVE RIGHT NOW IN OKC. JASON, YOU WERE TOLD THAT THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS BEEN DONE IN THE COUNTRY. YEAH, GUYS, THE CONCEPT IS NOT NEW, BUT IT IS THE FIRST TIME THAT MOBILE GAMING HAS BEEN USED AT THIS LEVEL ACROSS AN ENTIRE RESERVATION. WHAT THEY’VE DONE IS THEY’VE GEOFENCED OUR ENTIRE RESERVATION, AND I GUESS THEY CAN GET IT DOWN TO WITHIN FEET OF WHAT YOUR BOUNDARY IS. GEOFENCING TECHNOLOGY THAT USES A MOBILE PHONE’S LOCATION TO ALLOW ACCESS TO THE MUSKOGEE NATION’S NEW GAMING APP THAT ALLOWS USERS TO GAMBLE REAL MONEY ON ELECTRONIC BINGO GAMES ANYWHERE WITHIN THE RESERVATION BORDERS. WE’VE JUST TAKEN THAT CONCEPT AND TAKEN IT UP TO A MUCH, MUCH HIGHER LEVEL, AND WE’RE DOING IT THROUGHOUT THE RESERVATION. THE IDEA HAS BEEN USED BY CASINOS IN THE PAST, BUT ONLY WITHIN THAT BUILDING’S WALLS. PAT CROFTS, WITH THE TRIBE’S GAMING ENTERPRISES, SAYS THIS IS THE FIRST TIME ACROSS THE NATION THAT THE CONCEPT WILL BE USED ACROSS AN ENTIRE RESERVATION LAND. THE MONEY WILL WILL STAY IN OKLAHOMA AND STAY WITH THE NATION. SO IT’S NOT, YOU KNOW, IT’S NOT SOMEWHERE OUT IN LAS VEGAS OR SOMEWHERE LIKE THAT, JUST, YOU KNOW, MAKING ALL THE MONEY. BUT HE SAYS THERE WERE SEVERAL LEGAL HOOPS THEY HAD TO GO THROUGH TO BE ABLE TO DO THIS, STARTING WITH GETTING A CLASS TWO DETERMINATION FOR THE APP AS OPPOSED TO CLASS THREE, WHICH INCLUDES TABLE GAMES, CLASSIC SLOT MACHINES AND SPORTS BETTING. NATIONAL INDIAN GAMING COMMISSION WE GOT THAT. WE ALSO GOT AN OPINION FROM OUR ATTORNEY GENERAL’S OFFICE. WE GOT AN OPINION FROM AN OUTSIDE COUNSEL, AND WE ALSO HAD TO GO THROUGH. EACH TRIBE HAS THEIR TRIBAL GAMING COMMISSION, GAMING REGULATORY AGENCY, AND YOU GET THAT DETERMINATION. TRIBES ARE ABLE TO OFFER THAT ANYWHERE ON WHAT’S DEFINED AS INDIAN LANDS, BUT IT’S NOT USABLE FOR EVERYONE. THE APP REQUIRES YOU TO SCAN YOUR DRIVER’S LICENSE AND A PICTURE OF YOUR FACE BEFORE YOUR ACCOUNT WILL ACTIVATE, AND YOU ALSO HAVE TO DO A SELFIE, WHICH IS SUBMITTED WITH IT TO TO IDENTIFY WHO YOU ARE. AND SO THAT’S THAT’S MAKING SURE PEOPLE ARE 21. NOW. CROFTS MADE IT CLEAR THIS IS NOT A SPORTS BETTING PLA

Muscogee Nation introduces mobile gaming app on reservation

The Muscogee Nation has launched a mobile gaming app allowing users to play bingo-style games within the reservation, marking a first in the U.S.

   Updated: 10:09 PM CST Jan 15, 2026

  Editorial Standards ⓘ

The Muscogee Nation and Muscogee Nation Gaming Enterprises have announced a new mobile gaming app that allows eligible players to play bingo-style games anywhere within the Muscogee Nation reservation, marking a first in the country. >> Download the KOCO 5 app | Subscribe to KOCO 5’s YouTube channelPat Crofts, CEO of Muscogee Nation Gaming Enterprises, explained the app’s use of geo-fencing technology. “What they’ve done is they’ve geo-fenced our entire reservation, and I guess they can get it down to within feet of what your boundary is,” Crofts said. This technology enables users to gamble real money on electronic bingo-style games within the reservation’s borders. “We’ve taken that concept and taken it up to a much higher level, and we’re doing it throughout the reservation,” Crofts said.Crofts spoke of the economic impact on the state.”The money will stay in Oklahoma and stay with the Nation, so it’s not going somewhere out in Las Vegas or somewhere like that that’s making all the money,” Crofts said.To launch the app, several legal steps were necessary, including obtaining a “Class Two” determination, which differs from Class Three gaming that includes table games, classic slot machines, and sports betting. “The National Indian Gaming Commission, we got that.
