On the (fashionable) heels of his announcement that a civilian edition of The Traitors<\/a> will soon come to NBC<\/a>, host Alan Cumming<\/a> has elaborated on this new spin on Peacock\u2019s hit reality competition. As Traitors \u201cfaithfuls\u201d know, the Peacock series debuted with a cast of both celebrities and civilians but started casting only celeb contestants in Season 2. Now, that Peacock edition is \u201con this trajectory of theatricality and madness\u201d as Cumming said in a new interview with People<\/a>. But NBC\u2019s edition of The Traitors<\/a> will reopen the competition to anyone, regardless of fame, and that represents sort of \u201ca reboot\u201d for the format, Cumming told the magazine. With the civilian edition, The Traitors<\/a> is \u201ccalming down a little bit and starting again, which is exciting,\u201d he said.
