Zoe Salda\u00f1a is.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"HGBI7PLHY5DFTIYUVZNE2OFSZ4\">According to industry publication <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-numbers.com\/box-office-star-records\/worldwide\/lifetime-acting\/top-grossing-leading-stars\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.the-numbers.com\/box-office-star-records\/worldwide\/lifetime-acting\/top-grossing-leading-stars\">The Numbers<\/a>, Salda\u00f1a has overtaken her Marvel co-star Johansson with $16.8 billion in worldwide ticket sales as of Jan. 12.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"KJUWPA54Q5FHXOEE46A6EEFTVI\">The latest installment in James Cameron\u2019s franchise, \u201cAvatar: Fire and Ash,\u201d pushed Salda\u00f1a to the top spot after it crossed $1.23 billion at the global box office on Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"T6BFMSAUJFB6VKNCC6JVS7SI2A\">The 47-year-old actor holds a unique distinction as the only performer to appear in the three highest-grossing films ever made: \u201cAvatar,\u201d \u201cAvengers: Endgame\u201d and \u201cAvatar: The Way of Water.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"EKV4TI224NFRHM5XWPJTVS2PAI\">Salda\u00f1a is also the only actor to star in four separate films that have each surpassed the $2 billion mark. That list includes the three aforementioned as well as 2018\u2019s \u201cAvengers: Infinity War,\u201d which grossed $2.05 billion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"MVGNLR2KPVECFMMR7BDQ3B2D7A\">Salda\u00f1a\u2019s portrayal of Neytiri in the \u201cAvatar\u201d series alone contributes $6 billion to her total box office earnings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"HPWJXUD2CVFDZARIQCUNTGTW4M\">Johansson now ranks second with $16.4 billion in career box office revenue. She had claimed the top spot last summer following the release of \u201cJurassic World Rebirth,\u201d moving up from third place. Jackson<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.syracuse.com\/entertainment\/2015\/12\/robert_downey_jr_pardoned_for_1996_drug_conviction.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.syracuse.com\/entertainment\/2015\/12\/robert_downey_jr_pardoned_for_1996_drug_conviction.html\">Robert Downey Jr.<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.syracuse.com\/celebrity-news\/2017\/08\/chris_pratt_anna_faris_separate_divorce.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.syracuse.com\/celebrity-news\/2017\/08\/chris_pratt_anna_faris_separate_divorce.html\">Chris Pratt<\/a>, all of whom are known for their work in Marvel films.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"OFCALSHVEVCWLK3263T77AAA5Q\">Beyond Salda\u00f1a\u2019s box office dominance, she has also received much acclaim for her performances.
