Penney’s has confirmed plans to open a long-awaited store in Cavan town.<\/p>\n
The brand-new store will bring Penneys\u2019 much-loved great value fashion, beauty, lifestyle and homeware offering to Cavan for the first time ever.<\/p>\n
It will be the retailers 39th\u00a0store in\u00a0the Republic of\u00a0Ireland.<\/p>\n
Located on Main Street, it will occupy the existing Tesco site, which will move to a new location at Townparks.<\/p>\n
Works have yet to start, but the retailer hopes to open the new Penneys store in Spring 2028.<\/p>\n
The new store will represent significant investment in the region by Penneys and bring new jobs, which will bring a welcome boost to the local economy.<\/p>\n
Commenting on the announcement,\u00a0Fintan Costello,\u00a0Head\u00a0of\u00a0Penneys\u00a0in\u00a0Ireland and Northern Ireland, said:\u00a0\u201cWe are thrilled to finally confirm that Penneys is coming to Cavan. We know local customers have been asking us for a store here for many years, so it\u2019s incredibly exciting to finally make it happen.<\/p>\n
“It\u2019s going to take some time but bear with us, we\u2019re really looking forward to bringing our amazing range of great value clothing and accessories to our Cavan customers and supporting the local economy. We\u2019ll be sharing more details in the months ahead, and we can\u2019t wait to open our doors to the people of Cavan,” he added.<\/p>\n
The new store will feature\u00a0Penneys\u2019 stand-out\u202fstyles\u202fat affordable prices,\u202fand fans\u00a0will be able to shop\u202fthe latest trends along with\u202fpopular\u202feveryday essentials across womenswear,\u202fmenswear,\u202fkidswear, beauty,\u202fand homeware.<\/p>\n
The store in Cavan is part of Primark\u2019s commitment to invest over \u20ac250 million in Ireland over\u202fa ten-year period, which\u00a0also\u00a0includes the development,\u00a0relocation\u00a0and refurbishment of\u00a0many of\u00a0its\u00a0existing\u00a0stores across the country, including Penneys\u2019 stores in Portlaoise, Dooradoyle Limerick and Ennis later this year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Penney’s has confirmed plans to open a long-awaited store in Cavan town.
